Following an observation of nature, I felt the desire to study, and express the condition of leaves, after a degeneration due to a disease, that attacks the tree until to perish.
These metamorphosed leaves become unrecognizable because of their vivid colors, their unusual shapes, and their body size.
They are as well strange and hideous, as attractive.
They remind us, more than leaves, a bestiary of creatures like caterpillar, dragon, or a weakness and « melancholic » humminbird.
I want to render in a poetic way, the power of nature and its fragilities, the human impact on the ecosystems, and his loss of control on the environment.
